|Jonathan White was born April 24, 1973 in Sellersville, Pennsylvania. At a young age, he could be found writing stories or recording "audio movies" onto a tape recorder using a record player for music and by performing various character voices.|
When Jonathan entered high school, his father bought him his first video camera. In 1988, he helped form The P4 Guys, directing and producing several comedy sketch and horror videos. These were broadcast on a local cable access channel. One video he directed was awarded 1st Place in the Pennridge High School video competition.
After graduating in 1992, Jonathan moved to Nevada, where he focused on writing stories and songs. He then moved to San Jose, California in 1997. After a few years of shooting independent projects, Jonathan officially began his education in film production at De Anza College in 2002, transferring after two years to San José State University. He directed the short, The Lottery Breakup, which was screened at the SJSU Film Production Society's 2007 film festival. He also worked as Assistant Director on the short, Mass Transit, which won for “Best Drama” in the SJSU portion of Campus Movie Fest in 2007.
Jonathan is currently developing several short scripts as well as a feature. He views each new project as both an opportunity to explore different material, and to establish his visionary mark in the cinematic world.
